Airport wildlife observations and birdstrike reports, on one map.
Wildlife officers record patrols, wildlife seen and dispersal actions on the airfield, and report birdstrikes in a few taps, also offline. aviID checks the entries, shows the hot spots on the airport map and assesses the risk.
What aviID does
Wildlife observations
Patrols and inspections with weather, species and counts, airport zone, dispersal actions and habitat attractants.
Birdstrike reports
Aircraft, flight phase, runway, species, number struck, parts struck and damaged, and the effect on the flight; local time converted to UTC.
Airport map
Airport zones and every record on the map, with 500 m grid heat maps that show where wildlife and strikes concentrate.
Risk assessment
A species risk matrix according to Allan (2006), from your own observations and strikes.
Checked entries
Implausible entries are saved but flagged for review, so a manager can check and close them.
Offline and reports
Works without a connection on the airfield; CSV, Excel and GeoJSON downloads, registers and an annual summary.
